Our
beliefs come directly from the Bible, which we believe is the
inspired Word of God - infallible in every word of the 66 books of the Old and
New Testaments. We believe everything in the Bible without question; we do not
believe things that are not in the Bible. We believe that the Bible is
perfectly complete and that nothing should be added or taken away from the
scriptures. It was written and eventually put together by the imperfect hands
of men who were inspired and led by a perfect God for this work.
We believe that there is one true God who lives in three persons - Father, Son,
and Holy Spirit. Each of the three parts has three distinct
personalities and functions. We do not understand the details of this triune
relationship, but we believe it as fact through faith as it is taught in the
Bible.
We worship God the Father, creator and sustainer of all things;
who is worthy of worship and obedience. Man was created by God in His image;
man is in no way the result of evolution. We believe that God created
everything in six days and rested on the seventh as taught in the book of
Genesis.
Jesus Christ is God who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of a virgin,
lived a sinless life, performed miracles, shed His blood on the cross as a
substitute for sinful man, was buried, resurrected, ascended to the right hand
of the Father, and will return literally, visibly, and personally in glory and
power. Jesus is our high priest as it is only by his blood that we
are able to commune with God the Father.
The Holy Spirit resides within every believer and empowers every believer
to live a godly life. Through His gift of the Holy Spirit, God
graces every believer with spiritual gifts, which enables them to perform a
function effectively within the church, the Body of Christ. It is the
responsibility of each believer to discern and then use their gifts in service
to their Lord Jesus Christ.
